Great conditioner, no color change

I really wanted to love this! I'm a natural strawberry blonde, and was looking for a way to deep condition and boost my color during the summer months when I'm spending a lot of time swimming and outdoors. I tried this a few different ways during strand testing: wash + condition for 5 minutes, on dry hair for 5 and 10 minutes, wash + condition for 20 minutes, and none resulted in a noticeable color result. Even so, it did make my hair incredibly soft and shiny, and I do think it would work if your hair is lighter or color treated. It might be that my hair is too copper to make a difference, and I've never dyed it. I can recommend the conditioning properties, but not the color result in my case. If you're a natural strawberry blonde, I recommend the dpHUE gloss+ in strawberry. It gave me the subtle color result I wanted, plus the shine and softness.

Great product for in between salon trips

I am a natural redhead (auburn) whose hair has darkened and faded with both age and each of my three pregnancies. Now that I am in my 40’s I have my hair restored to it’s former fiery glory with the help of my hair stylist and have copper added to it twice a year. In between these two salon trips, I use this mask a couple of times when my roots start to become really noticeable. Since I’m already a redhead, this usually takes several months and all I do is take a healthy scoop of this mask, apply directly to the area and let it sit for about 10-15 min. Then I wash my hair like I normally would, and my hair is usually pretty uniform again. For me, this is a great way to keep my color as long as possible and the shine/softness from it being a mask is an added bonus. PS: I paid for this product, it seems as if most reviews these days are in return for a free product.

Great for softness n shine but didnt add any color

Made my hair so so soft and shiny but I have naturally red hair that has never been dyed and it didn't add any extra boost of color to my hair at all unfortunately. I will definitely still be using it as a nourishing hair mask though

I have strawberry blonde hair and this is perfect to cover my grey hairs temporarily and a color boost. I leave on for about an hour or so when I have time. My hair is so soft and my hair had a richer color and my grey is temporarily covered. I’ve bought this three times and will buy more - sometimes, I have to wait because it sells out.

I have coppery red hair that I get colored every 6-7 weeks at the salon. This product keeps my hair from fading as I get closer to my next salon visit. It’s the most effective red color conditioner I’ve found, and it also makes my hair silky soft and impossibly shiny! It isn’t a miracle product, so if you’re looking to get salon results, just go to a salon... but if you’re looking for a pick me up to use between appointments, this is a godsend. I use it 2-3 times a month or whenever I notice my color looking a little faded or dull.

Subtle, good on faded highlights

I have salon-colored copper hair with highlights in it. My highlights tend to fade out to blonde between appointments, and this gives them a refreshed but natural punch of ginger. I leave it on the full 30 min. Also leaves my hair VERY shiny! Suspect you will not see a big difference if your hair is not already colored/lifted.

Worked for warm strawberry blonde

I have long, fine, color-treated hair that is naturally warm brown. It has been lightened to a warmer blonde color with highlights to my natural roots. I usually use a color depositing conditioner in-between hair appointments to keep the gradation between my roots and lengths more uniform, since there is some slight banding in my hair from having a poor root touch up awhile ago. This product worked really well to deposit some warmer color in my hair and make the tone more uniform. In the first photo (straight hair), the banding is more obvious and the highlights are more yellowish, where in the second photo (after first use of this conditioner, air dried hair), the warmer red color is much more evident. I probably wouldn’t use this as a stand-alone conditioner and would instead use it once or twice a week for color maintenance. I kept this on my hair for about 7 minutes and then rinsed throughly. I would recommend this to others with fine, warm-toned hair, as it’s easier for color to “stick” on a fine hair shaft as opposed to more coarse hair.

color and softness

Looked the way this product nourished my Burnett naturally curly hair and left a nice sent as well the shine. My hair looks so coppery in the sunlight!

I've used a lot of color depositing conditioners over the years and this is the only one I'd even consider repurchasing. I have auburn hair that I've colored to bring out more red. The problem with coloring my hair is the the ends fade to a golden blonde color (almost like the color of straw). Color depositing conditioners I've used in the past have been patchy, depositing a lot of color at my ends which are dryer and nothing in the rest of my hair. This conditioner doesn't deposit super intense color but for at least a good 3 days my hair looks more copper than blonde and the color is even! No patchyness. The color is pretty natural too. It is kind of a pain to use it every 3 to 5 days ( I leave it in for the full 30 minutes, sometimes longer) but I'll live with it because it keeps my color looking nice in between visits to the salon. I don't know that this would do anything for someone who has dark hair and wants to add red or copper tones to it but for my purposes it works great!

Moderately happy

I'm a little bit disappointed. I have a colored copper hair which is curly and dried out at the ends. It lacks natural shine so I was hoping this would add some shine/softness as well as copper overtone to it. In terms of color I'm more than moderately happy. But it didn't add shine or softness, nor does it feel moisturized after use. I left it on for full 30 minutes. Will revise the review if the result is better after the second use. Right now I'm only moderately happy.

Great Product for Very Temporary Shade Change

I have very long, naturally dark strawberry blonde hair with some light blonde highlights. I had been wanting to get back more to my strawberry-ish natural color, and decided to try this since it is very temporary. I have never been confident enough to actually dye my hair at home. I LOVE the color that this deposits; I actually wish it lasted longer than two or three shampoos! It doesn't change my natural color very much, but turns my baby blonde highlights a wonderful coppery color. It smells nice, and doesn't fade on my pillowcase if I go to bed with damp hair. My hair is not particularly thin or thick, and is waist length, and I have gotten about six uses out of it. Because of that, the cost isn't too bad.

mask itself works well but doesnt do anything in terms of color. I have "virgin" hair, never dyed. bought this to brighten up my Auburn hair. no color change but my hair was smooth. not worth the price, probably can get something with a little more bang for your buck.
