almost perfect

As other reviews have noted this is an incredibly, incredibly creamy, only black eyeliner. It is the blackest eyeliner I've ever owned (I wear black eyeliner pretty much every day. Still searching for my HG). So if I want to quickly slap something on my waterline and look incredibly sexy right before my husband walks in the door, this is my best bet. It's so pretty. But - and it's a big one - this stuff moves a lot. It just doesn't stay put. It looks amazing for maybe an hour but then it starts to move around. If you're not sweating, or hot, or crying or laughing or smiling too much, it moves in a sexy, smudgy, smoky way (I recommend some eyeshadow underneath your lower lashes to encourage this effect, even if it's a nude color with a light hand. Just give it something to stick to). But for me it gets overly melty and raccoonish if I'm smiling, hot, etc. I like it but not for the summer, long days, work, or nervous dates. My feeling generally, though, after using oh so many black eyeliners on my lash and waterline, is that this is the game. The blackest, creamiest, inkiest product just can't have the staying power that others do. And for me the ones that stay really well have a lot of trouble with harder texture and bad payoff on the waterline in particular. As far as I'm concerned that's just the trade off in the eyeliner-for-waterlines arena. The only exception I've ever found is a powder product specifically built for the waterline.

smudge city

Do not try to use this as an eyeliner. It will end up underneath your eyes. I walked around for a couple of hours and people kept staring at me. I couldn't figure out why. Went to the bathroom and saw in the mirror that it looked like I had been crying. Returning it!!!

Creamiest Eye Pencil!

I love this eye pencil! It is literally the creamiest eye pencil I've used, and I've already tried a lot. Although, I specifically use this to create a smokey look; not for the waterline. I would line my lids (even over eyeshadow) then smudge it with a pencil brush and it that makes for a quick and easy defined eye look. :-) stays on for a good amount of hours despite it being too creamy.

Excellent eye pencil

This eyeliner is perfect for rimming the inner eye. It lasts for hours! I bellydance and this has lasted thru hours of performing. Note to other reviewers- it is not meant to be rim the outside of the upper eyelid. I use a different eyeliner for that (Urban Decay 24/7).

a hot mess!

I was so excited to own this eye pencil. It is an amazing dark black, just what I was looking for. Shortly after putting it on disappointment kicked in. The liner smeared all over my eye area. It was very hard to remove throughly and ruined a pair of contact lenses. :(

Great Pencil

I have purchased this pencil 3 times now and it has never failed me! It is the perfect darkness. It smudges easily it lasts forever. Big bang for the buck. I have no complaints about this product.

Racoon

The pencil goes on to thick and dark. It smudges into your inner eyelid and makes it look very sloppy Wore it once never again. I was very embarrassed the first time I wore it out. Can't wait to return it..

Nope

Please save your money, this product is far from superior. It is waxy, does not glide on well, and leaves little color. Packaging was beautiful of course.

worst eyeliner

Do not use this as an eyeliner. It is awful and smudges within minutes. It's a beautiful black, but it is impossible as an eyeliner, and I do not wear the black smoky eye, so this wads waste of money.

A smoky-eye must!

First of all, unless your next date is with a raccoon, do NOT use this as an eyeliner. DO. NOT. Now that I've gotten that out of the way, let me say that this is an excellent pencil for a smoky eye. It smudges easily, as in, it is a really smooth pencil that will not tug at your eyelids when trying to create your desired look. It lasts for hours and doesn't crease easily. I have very oily eyelids and this pencil stayed put for a good 4-5 hours, remarkable. Love it.

Messy

I can not figure how how to use this without getting smudges under my eye. It goes on the inner rim very easily and it is a great black color. But it is just so messy on me, so matter what I do. I keep trying it because I love the color, but only on days I don't leave the house!

Great Smoky Eye

I didn't buy this eye pencil as an eyeliner but as an easy one step smoky eye. It's great for that use. It's very easy to blend over my eyelid. I've used it by itself and a a base under eyeshadows to make them darker and richer. It's great for both purposes. I can't attest to its use as an eyeliner, but I do like it on its own and under other shadows.
