Way less frizzy

Hey y'all, I'm Kay!! I'm a busy mother to four incredible children living my best life in South Texas. So I’ve been using the Olaplex Weightless Nourishing Mask for almost three weeks now about twice a week... and I gotta be honest at first I didn’t think it was doing much. But then I looked back at some before and after pics and wow, my hair actually looks a lot healthier than I realized. The frizz is way more under control, and my ends don’t look so dry. It has that classic Olaplex smell, if you’ve used their stuff before you know exactly what I mean, kind of clean and salon-like but not too strong. It comes in a tub, super thick texture but really easy to work into the mids and ends. I have fine hair, and a lot of masks make it feel heavy or greasy, but this one doesn’t at all. It feels soft and smooth without losing volume. Overall, my hair just looks healthier and more put together, and it makes me feel better about not having to do a ton of styling every day. I’ll for sure be buying it again, and if you deal with flyaways, frizz, or just want your hair to look a little more polished without a ton of effort, I’d say give it a try.

Not impressed

As someone who has played in bleach far too long my hair has some significant damage. I’m always looking for hair masks to put some life back into my dry, lifeless tresses. I’ve always been a huge fan of Olaplex so I was excited to try this out. After shampooing and conditioning I applied the mask. It is a thick consistency that my hair absorbed quite fast. It has a very light almost citrus scent. I left it on for 15 minutes and rinsed out. My hair suddenly felt dry and straw like and it took me adding other products after my shower to get a wide tooth comb through it. I didn’t notice any difference in my hair after using besides that. Not sure this is for me. I really wanted to love it but unfortunately it didn’t live up to its reputation.

I have the privilege of being in the beauty industry for 30+ years and the opportunity to experience hundreds of cosmetic products. I had a great prior experience with the shampoo/conditioner for fine hair and had a neutral experience with the new Weightless Nourishing Mask. I love the scent of the Olaplex fine hair line and this mask scent is comparable. I am unaware if it exists, but if there is a cantaloupe flavored Skittle or Starburst this would be a comparable fragrance of this product. This is an intriguing product, to the naked eye it appears to be a buttery consistency but when applied it feels gel-like, not in a bad way. It easily rinses without an “is it ever going to rinse out" greasy feeling. I have 2B curls/waves, after air drying the result felt like there was a leave-in styling aid. I had considerably more volume but my curls were rather frizzy. Hair felt moisturised but also felt like I had a layer of additional product on the hair shaft with a slight crunchy feeling. Something to consider if it's not something you prefer but suppose if you wanted to “skip” that leave in step you would appreciate this formula. I also tried using prior to blowing out and straightening the hair and found while I achieved great volume and shine there was also a feeling of the hair being coated but not weighed down. This product was perplexing, but smells great! I received this product as an educational promotion.

A must have in my hair routine

Been using the Olaplex weightless nourishing hair mask for two weeks now and my hair has never been so soft and smooth! It just feels so much more healthier and hydrated. My hair tends to run on the dry side, but the problem is it’s thinning. So a normal hair mask is too heavy and weighs it down. I love how this one is actually designed for thin hair. The consistency is very light and airy, and the smell is a very light subtle clean scent. Just when I think my Olaplex products routine is set they go make another product that’s a must have for my hair care routine. I also love it a product that you use every 5 washes. So it actually last a while in your hair in between your regular washes.

Really nice mask that smells amazing and keeps my hair looking repaired and silky smooth! I love the way it gives my hair new life and bounce along with volume without weighing it down or making it look oily or greasy. I only need to use a little bit, too!

Solid hair mask

This is a good hair mask for those of us whose hair usually gets weighed down by hair masks. I usually stay away from hair masks because my hair often feels greasy and heavy after using them. Not so with this one. This helps hydrate and condition while allowing my hair to stay wavy and keep volume instead of weighing everything down. I found it also helped my hair be a bit less frizzy and more defined. (Before photo: me in a navy t-shirt; after photo: me in a grey robe) This has the standard Olaplex scent, so if you’ve tried Olaplex before you know what this smells like. For the uninitiated, it smells like lightly scented fancy hair products or fancy bubble bath. Not really floral or sweet, just a nice light scent. While I do like this hair mask, I find it a bit less special than some of the Olaplex products that I’ve tried. I personally use this as a heavier conditioner and alternate with the Olaplex fine hair conditioner. I would recommend this to someone looking for a hydrating hair mask but has issues with everything weighing their hair down.

Love this hair mask!

I recently tried the Olaplex Weightless Volumizing Hydration Hair Mask for fine hair in exchange for my honest review. I tried this mask 3 times in a month to really see how I felt about it, and I was not disappointed! I really love the way that this mask smells. It’s not too strong, but it leaves my hair feeling fresh and hydrated. As someone with very fine hair, I felt this mask gave my hair hydration without weighing it down. Also, since my hair is color treated, I’m unable to wash everyday, and using this mask didn’t compete with my usual hair routine. Overall I would recommend this mask for people with fine hair that want to feel hydrated and volumized. I feel like continual use would help with the volumizing, but I didn’t want to overdo it. This mask definitely does what it says it does and isn’t too heavy for someone with thin hair and looking to hydrate the dry ends.

Nourishing and light!

The Olaplex Weightless Volumizing Hydration Hair Mask has been a great addition to my hair care routine. As someone with dry and sometimes brittle hair, it’s hard for me to an achieve healthy, fuller looking hair. I like that this mask immediately nourishes my hair, making it feel smoother and more hydrated. Upon drying, my hair is more manageable to brush and style and visibly looks shinier, smoother, and overall, healthier. I’m excited to use this over time to strengthen my hair. I use heat tools often to style my hair, and I like that this hair mask will help current damage as well as prevent future damage to my hair. This product doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it appear greasy. I received this as a part of an educational promotion.

Okay, not my favorite

I generally am a fan of Olaplex products. I have tried shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner products that worked well for me. When given the opportunity to try their weightless nourishing mask, I anticipated a similar outcome. This is advertised to help fine hair have more volume and moisture, help with breakage, and repair the cuticle. Unfortunately this mask just didn’t work for me. It left my hair feeling very dry, regardless of whether I let my hair air dry or after blow drying. I also feel like I noticed a lot more flyaways than normal. I saw as much fall out as any other product I have used, so I don’t think it delivered on that note either. I wanted to love it, but it just did not agree with my hair. I received this product complimentary for my honest review.

Light Hydration with Lasting Bounce

The Olaplex Weightless Volumizing Hydration Mask is my prayer answered. I’m not trying to be over-dramatic but the whole Olaplex Fine Hair line they’ve recently released has been absolutely perfect. I’ve always been told how hair masks are a necessity to achieve that perfect, shiny, healthy looking hair that just flows perfectly. But many hair masks have been so heavy on my hair. It would make it feel weighed down, clumpy, more oily than when I started, and just not an improvement. HOWEVER, the Olaplex weightless mask for fine hair is everything I had been hoping and looking for. It truly did feel so lightweight on my hair, it didn’t weigh it down at all. It spread evenly and nicely throughout my hair. It didn’t dry my hair out, instead it gave my hair a boost…after finishing my shower by rinsing out and blow drying, my hair felt and looked bouncy and had lovely movement. My hair looked alive again. It looks hydrated, healthy, and even had shine! After I’ve started using this mask for about 10 mins (before rinse out) 2x a week, I’ve noticed a consistent softness to my hair, smoother hair, and even less frizz. My hair even has started to feel a bit stronger, so I know it is truly working its magic.

Olaplex has healed my hair.

I recently started using the Olaplex Weightless Volumizing Hydration Hair Mask for Fine Hair. My hair is damaged from years of coloring and heat. I've been trying to give my hair a break and repair it, without cutting it off. I'm loving this mask! It's a very thick, rich, creamy consistency. I've been leaving it on for about 5 minutes per the instructions. It feel like it coats every strand of hair on my head with protection. It doesn't feel heavy and that's one thing that's impressed me, it rinses clean. My hair feels and looks polished. I can easily run my fingers through it to achieve volume. I'm used to masks leaving a "residue" behind. This is part of the magic of Olaplex and what's made me a believer. My hair feels clean and healthier without being weighed down. Not what I expected

I was really hopeful for the Olaplex Weightless Nourishing Mask, as I've had great experiences with some of their other products. This mask promised lightweight hydration and volume for fine hair, which is exactly what I was looking for. While it delivered on some fronts, it wasn't the transformative experience I had anticipated. The product didn't fully absorb as well as I'd hoped. I didn't notice a significant or lasting difference in volume. It gave some initial bounce, but my hair felt a little flat within a day or two. I expected more intense and lasting results. It provided decent conditioning, but I've had similar hydrating effects from other hair masks. This mask is a good option if you want a lightweight, hydrating treatment and are already a fan of the Olaplex scent.
