horrid smell

Decent cleanser but smells so bad. I agree with the other reviewer that said it smells like paint. No exaggeration the chemical smell in this is STRONG and for me it’s to the point where it is unusable. There may not be fragrance but the chemicals in this can be just as irritating to sensitive skin FYI

I love this! I use it every day! It’s not irritating and doesn’t leave my face too dry.

Smells like PAINT

I have extremely sensitive skin and this cleanser does not irritate my skin whatsoever but it smells LIKE PAINT. I'm not even exaggerating. This cleansing foam smells so strong! The bottle is almost empty and I'm still not used to the smell. Whatever it is doesn't affect my skin though so I'm not sure what's causing the smell.

Unscented, gentle, highly effective face wash!

I love this gentle, completely SCENT FREE face wash! Yes, SCENT FREE! I am so sensitive to scents, especially near my face, it was a joy to receive this reasonably priced foaming face wash that very gently and effectively washes my face. Highly recommend!

I have really oily T zone, but sometimes it is also super dry. So I needed something in between, but still not making me oily. Love Clinique products and this one is awesome

My holy grail face wash

This cleanser saved my skin! I was having terrible breakouts for a little over a year and my mom picked this up for me from Clinique. I have always found the original Clinique gentle face wash to be too drying and my skin always felt stripped after using it. But this face wash is completely different, my skin went from breakouts to being clear within 2 weeks of using this. I can testify that this was what changed my skin as it was the only thing I changed before my skin started improving.

Nice product - Not scent free

This cleansing foam worked as promised. It definitely has a chemical smell to it - however this does not linger on the skin once it is rinsed off.

Cleans well enough...but the smell ugh!!!

A decent cleanser but when you first pump it out the smell is unbearable ~ so awful and gross! The awful smell last about 30-40 seconds but its bad enough for me to stop using it. There are other cleansers out there that do the same job and smell so much better. Will be passing it on to someone else.....yuck!

Great daily morning cleanser!

I've used so many different brands for my sensitive , acne-prone, very finicky, overly reactive skin(over 13 brands) but I always came back to Clinique! That's says a lot! I use EVERYTHING Clinique for my facial needs...my husband as well! I double cleanse in the mornings; first with their Cleansing BALM and after with this cleanser. My skin feels baby soft and so clean but not the uncomfortable "squeaky" clean. At night if I have makeup on, I use the Take the Day Off OIL since it takes every trace of makeup off and I do a heavy face than after I use the City Block Charcoal Cleanser. And that cleanser does wonders for my skin as I like a deep cleanse at night. I also use the Turnaround line for my lotion, serum and day/night creams! WON'T go without and won't stray from Clinique!

no fragrance

While this is a great cleanser, none of Clinique products have fragrance other than their perfumes. This is just a milder type of cleanser. So people who like that it doesn't have fragrance might like some other products as well.

Sara with rosacea

Excellent foam cleanser for sensitive skin and rosacea. Not too drying but leaves clean feeling.
