Love this!!! It conditions and helps my wavy car curlier. Smells great. For the next two days after wash day I re wet and use some curl cream to freshen it up with some more curl cream.

Best Curl Cream

I absolutely love this hair product. I have low porosity, medium-coarse, medium/high density, curly hair. Before this product, I used Shea Moisture and it was way too heavy for my hair. I constantly had moisture overload problems despite using protein treatments. I finally switched from Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie to this Ouai cream and it has benefited my hair SO GOOD! I was debating at first, but I finally caved and I am so glad I did. A little goes a long way, and I like to spritz a little water in my hand when I use the cream. This cream is also amazing for refresh days, and you only need the tiniest bit! I highly recommend for those who have similar hair types as me and don’t mind the splurge!

Not worth it

This product did nothing. Not worth it and I returned. It’s been hit and miss for me with this brand. Fragrance was nice tho

I always bleach my ends as I always balayage so my ends are very dry and I have lots of frizz. I usually have wavy hair and I'm trying to air dry to reduce heat and friction. I bought this cream to try to help, I have tried countless products that claim they help with frizz but they do not. I also fine with this product does not help a lot with frizz. It is very heavy and I'll wake up the next day with puffy hair. I have satin pillowcases to reduce phrase and I found with this cream made the frizz worse the next day compared to other products/no products. I also found this product kind of made my hair sticky/feel like there's product in my hair.

A Go To

Probably the best curl cream for my hair type (looser curls) that I’ve tried! It’s thick so you don’t need much. Only taking off a star because of the smell…it’s giving grandma perfume. I wish they had an unscented one or with the st barts scent. st. Barts

Ultra defined curls!

This product did not disappoint… it defined my 2c/3a curls while leaving them soft, bouncy and touchable. The volume is incredible. This will be a staple in my curly hair routine from now on. My only wish list item for this product would be to make it available in other scents, Ouai’s signature scent is super distinct and not my personal taste… although this product works so well that I’ll continue to use it.

Really Disappointed

I got a sample of this product to try because i’ve heard of great things from ouai. this unfortunately did not work out for me. For reference, i have 2c-3a curls that are medium thick with medium hair density. immediately after feeling this i knew it would not be great. the texture of this curl cream is extremely thick and heavy. to me a curl cream should be lotiony, thin, and slightly tacky to help with curl shape. this was nothing of the sort. imagine a really thick silicone (which this product does not contain, ill get to that) moisturizer, thats this products texture. the smell is nothing special and honestly isn’t that delicious smelling to me its just a typical fresh smell, nothing to write home about. when using the product i used the same amount i use with all my curl creams for my shoulders length curls, a nickle sized amount, then i scrunch through hair on both sides, this product said to comb through hair and didnt even mention scrunching… maybe i need to use less but it really did nothing and made my hair shiny but oily shiny and made my curls look so frizzy and like i didnt even shower. they were not defined or frizz-free at all. my cheap marshalls coconut curl cream by oilology does better (even tho its not my favorite) yikes… Now for the ingredients, this product seems to have very good ingredients with coconut oil being very high up on the list. this could be why the product did not work for my hair. additionally however i mentioned this product does not contain silicones which are actually film formers around the hair that protect and adds structure to the hair so im sad about that. In terms of what i’m looking for i was looking for a curl cream that was light enough yet still powerful enough to provide great moisturizer without weighing hair down. i mentioned my favorite which so far is the kerestase curl manifesto.
