[I received this product in exchange for my honest review] Valentino Uomo Born in Roma Purple Melancholia is an intense and distinctive scent. You immediately get hit with the spiciness of the cardamom blended with lavender and a subtle creamy coconut. It opens up on the spicier side from the cardamom but throughout the day it starts to tone down and the creamy coconut comes out a little more. I sprayed this on skin and on my clothing before a night out and it lasted the whole night. I could still smell the fragrance on my wrist the next morning and my clothing for a couple of days. This scent definitely leans more toward colder weather and evenings as I find it too overpowering for warmer days. So if you are looking for something for fall/winter or night out I would recommend at least checking this out. This fragrance really stands out in my collection as I usually gravitate toward fresh/blue fragrances.

When it dries down you’ll love it, it doesn’t become to much of the coconut.

As always, the bottle looks great and the small lasts the day which is important for me as some alternatives do not feel to be as good of a value. This scent also offers great seasonality!

Projects and lasts FOREVER!

I've been testing it out for about a month now and it has quickly become one of my favorite scents for a couple reasons. It's lasts FOREVER! It projected for 10 hours the first time I used it and I was hooked. This cologne pulls compliments because of its sweet coconut scent as well as its vanilla woody dry down. This is in my top 2 from Valentino and it's not 2! Blind buy 100% guaranteed and I would recommend this to all of my friends (and I have been!)

The scent is quite unique in a good way, but I recommend not blind buying as it’s a bit more complex and may not be for everyone.
