A means to an end

As someone who is a self proclaimed professional self-tanner (I have tanned almost every week for the last 8 years) this is an easy tan to use. It goes on MOSTLY clear but there is definitely a slight guide color. Does it look pretty on? Yes. Is it sticky and takes a long time to dry? Also yes. Do I hate the smell? Absolutely. Will I continue to pick this over my loving tan ultra dark? No. Also one application used up almost a quarter of the bottle.

Great Product

This is one of the best self tanners I have tried. The only issue is it stays a bit sticky for a while. It gives a great natural looking tan.

LOVE this self tanner! It’s clear so I haven’t had any trouble with it staining my clothes/sheets! I love the color and it seems to stay on longer than the St. Tropez or My Loving Tan and also wears off without being splotchy or sporty! Also, loved that when I rinsed it off that a lot of the product still stayed on (except for my face ) which is something I really like.

Love the color it gives. People don’t even ask if I’m using self tanner they always assume I was in the sun! Smell is bearable (self tanner smell is really bothersome to me) It is a little drying to the skin so I definitely use a light moisturizer on top to maintain and on my dry spots before applying. Difference between Iles of paradise & tan lux is Tan lux- color is better + fades better - dries out skin ILES- fades pretty ugly/splotchy smells not great

I have experimented with self tanners for the last 20 years of my life, and this is my holy grail. I use the Light/Medium on my face and the Medium/Dark on my body, and it comes out amazing every time!

Really works

This stuff works amazingly! I like how silky smooth it feels. It’s smooths nicely into my skin and darkens my skin nicely. No streaks and it smells so good! It stayed on for a couple of days, but i also only hit my legs with one coat. Excited to start wearing shorts!

Love this!

I love the Tan Lux Hydra Mouse. It gives me a natural looking tan that is smooth and streak less. My tan looks flawless for a full week! Applying it is easy. I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to have a great tan but protect themselves from harmful rays!

Decent self tanner

I have a fairly pale skin tone, and found this product to be decent, but a little more orange than other self tanners I've used. When applying it, it has a nice light smell to it; and like normal you need to moisturize any dry areas before applying. I did feel like the pigment showed fairly orange in the areas that were dryer than some other products I have used. However, the non dry, smooth areas looked like a more natural tan. The downfall I think for this product is that it is clear, making it a bit hard to see if you are distributing the product evenly. I prefer ones with color so that you can see where the product is as you are applying it. The tan takes several hours to develope its full color, and wears well. I did not see any product bleed through on clothes. Overall, I think this self tanner is decent, but would probably go with one that is a little less orange looking for my skin tone.

Good Start for Tanning Newbie!

I am now starting to enter the world of tanning! I was always apprehensive seeing all the commentary, but seeing this products reviews made me want to try! I am thoroughly impressed and the reviews do hold true. It is colorless, odorless, and doesn't leave any stains on the bed. Using the standard two pumps it gave me a nice hint of color that wasn't terrible. It seems like if you want a deeper color, you could do more than two pumps. Very happy with this product and ready for spring/summer (whenever that hits Texas)

Worked great for me

I love this product! My skin is white as can be and lost at-home self tanners leave me looking orange or streaky but this hydra mousse worked great. I was worried it would dry unevenly since it goes in clear but I did not have any problems with that. I would recommend.

Leaves a beautiful natural tan!

I got the Hydra Mousse Medium/Dark and hoping it wouldn’t leave an unnatural color but I am so glad I grabbed this one. I am not too pale normally but during winter season I do lose a lot of color and this mousse is perfect for adding a bit of color to the skin. I applied it with a mitten that I use for a different tanning lotion and was very easy to apply, the foam is white and applies clear. You will have to be careful where you are since the results are not immediately visible. I was able to tell where I left off where the skin didn’t feel like anything had been there. I had no problems with streaks or patches! The mousse does have a slight smell but it’s not bad. I have not found one tanning mouse that does not smell so this did not bother me. I started noticing results about 4 hours in, then went to bed, next morning I had developed the color you see in the pics. It was good enough for me as I just wanted some color not a lot, but as you can see, it looks very natural and does not have that orange colors that other tanners have. I did not notice any transfer on my clothes or sheets, however, they did have the tanning smell. I just washed everything and the odor is gone. After showering, no smell was left on skin and the color was intact. The color with one application lasted a whole 3 days for me! I did not notice that the color continued to develop, it does seem to fade over days but if you’d like to get a darker color and have a more lasting streak, I’d say apply every 2 days. I recommend using a mitten like I did for good coverage and no streaks. This is a great tanning mousse!
