Burnt artisanal lavender coffee, I fear

I haven’t smelled any of the other Devotions before (or if I have, I don’t remember them), just as an FYI… Opens with a burst of lavender (hate!) that is screechy and synthetic. I don’t enjoy lavender (far too ubiquitous in men’s fragrances and I also simply don’t like it), and doubly-so here. Off to a bad start. + some citrus? But that might honestly just be the soapy presentation of an aromatic, which so often renders them akin to cleaning products. But then the coffee steps in, and it’s the vapors of a fresh pot— not the beans or grinds, but a softly steaming batch you’ve just poured for yourself. It warms it up and gracefully sidesteps the lavender that kept my jaw clenched and my nose itchy…but nevertheless, the lavender persisted. Why? I almost saw the light :( There’s a vaguely-golden, amber hue to the scent by the end of it, but it’s nothing transformative. In fact, the amber’s marriage to the coffee darkens it to the point where it’s almost chocolate, but the kind of chocolate that reminds me of that old Axe spray, “Dark Temptation.” Alas, not for me. But it performs pretty well and lasts a good bit.

Warm and Smooth

Very nice and soothing scent. The package is compact and great value. Have used it a few times on social occasions and many who had experienced the aroma agreed that it was warm and smooth.

Similar to Light Blue but different, very good

Light Blue has always been one of my favorite scents, and this cologne smells similar but different in a good way. It’s a bit sweeter. It’s a good balance of citrus and warmth from the coffee and vanilla notes. I would purchase more of this cologne.

Great perfume

I really liked this perfume. The scent is sweet and not too overpowering. It stays for long time and goes well with any occasion. Not very pricey and can fit in any budget and still makes it feel luxurious.

Great fragrance

I really like this perfume. I got a small sample to try. This perfume is a Bright Gourmand fragrance. It has scent notes of gourmand, candied citrus, orange blossom, and vanilla. I can smell the gourand, citrus and vanilla scent notes. It is not overpowering and lasts on for a couple of hours. It is a great Summer/ Fall scent and is great to use for any occasion.

Product smelled great had a great scent. Lasted all day and got alot of compliments. The package came just in time to try out for a party and smelled great.

Great scent for any occasion!

Dolce&Gabbana Devotion is a great smelling cologne. It has smooth hints of coffee, lemon, and lavender. It is sweet but not too overpowering. The scent has longevity, lasting for half the day at least. The packaging makes it great for traveling and it’s all for an affordable price. I would recommend giving it a try if you’re looking for a new scent this season.

This is mid

Super generic smelling. Typical lavender amber woods DNA found in so many men’s colognes out there. There’s also virtually no coffee that makes the EDP interesting. I'm not surprised but still disappointed. The bottle looks gorgeous even though I only got a sample for this review. Good for someone who's starting a collection or makes for a good gift. For someone who has a collection such as myself, I don't need this.
