It's fantastic if you know what to do with it

This really should be marketed as an "in sower toner." This is a toning treatment that adjusts the TONE of one's current color to banish brassiness. On dry hair, it did not leave behind much glossiness, however it did amazingly shift my brassiness to a much better tone. I have three shades of hair; dark brown roots, with reddish blonde cascading into platinum. It did tone my platinum parts to the ashy I was after. It didn't do too much to the golden/reddish blonde, but it did tone my dark roots that previously leaned toward golden into a nice ash brown. Note that I've discovered applying to wet hair immediately after shampooing as though it's a hair mask, leaving on up to 10 minutes then rinsing and following with conditioner was the way find it works best. I've even mixed this with conditioner and hair masks which result the same way. When used this way, especially immediately after my bleaching, the results are wonderful. That's why I think "in shower toner" would be a better name for this.

I would give it zero stars if possible. I have smooth natural red hair and followed the directions exactly, unfortunately the product had zero effect other than to make my hair frizzy and gritty (almost as if I had put dry shampoo in). I was just looking for a look boost of shine but now it look as though I need a deep conditioning treatment.

smells dangerous

smells like chemicals.. very strongly. it has sparkles in it which i hope is not what they mean by gloss because that is just a gimmick to give a shiny perception when the sparkles reflect on light and not true shine on the hair itself. does not smell like something i would risk putting on my hair again.. i feel like i doused myself in alcahol and gasoline.. like to give you an idea... ammonia hair dye smells better and less dangerous than this stuff..

Apply on wet hair for better results!

I wanted to try this product for a long time, but I found it very expensive. With a good Sephora discount, I finally justified the expense ;) On the first attempt, on dry hair as suggested, did not impress me. I was very disappointed to have waited so long for almost nothing. So I decided to try on wet hair, like a mask, for a 5-7 minutes and that’s when the real results occured. Obviously, you have to be realistic: you will not turn platinum! But the brassiness disappears and the product leaves the hair very shiny and soft. I use it once every 2 weeks not more. :)

Best Gloss EVER

This is BY FAR the best purple treatment I have used. And I’ve used a lot of them. Made the mistake the first time I purchased by using it as a shampoo. Then realized it is a treatment and should go on dry hair. Use a lot of it and people will think you just got your hair done. I used to do it about once a month. People who say it doesn’t last probably are using shampoo that strips the toner. Don’t use anything with clarifying in the description. I swear by this product

Works Well

Works well. My porous, bleached, fine, frizzy hair had more dimension and shine. Results don’t last long on me - maybe 1-2 shampoos. Has a weird, lacquer smell. I’ve also tried it applied on dry and towel-dried wet hair, and the results are the same. Plus, you will get a lot more mileage out of the tube if you put it on combed, towel-dried hair. For the price, you want to get as much out of this as possible! I use this for a special occasion when I want to amp up the volume and softness.

Honestly, I loved this for my platinum ans ashe blonde hair. My hair is bleached and naturally blonde. It is a bit dry and damaged. It is wavy, fine, dense, and at times will frizz. This was a nice toning gloss. It did add shine and the scent was not horrible. A tad citrusy.

Didn't color and just stained everything else!

Messy and stained shower/sink! Didn't color hair nor condition it. Maybe shine!

This didn't do anything to my hair. If anything, it left a bit of a glimmer, but only because there is a lot of glitter in it.
